練習:
The number of people who want to know what has happened in the house or building they live in is increasing worldwide. There are various reasons why they want to know the history of the house and they can get the information they need in many ways.
In my opinion, there are two main reasons why most people are trying to find out the history of homes. Firstly, some homeowners might think they can make some profits. There might be an appreciation in the value of houses if some famous people lived there before. Secondly, some people are curious about what has happened in the places where they live and how the places have changed over the years. When people live in a castle or houses in an old town, they might want to know the historical things they do not know.
Information on the history of a property can be obtained in two main ways. The easiest way is to ask the neighbours who have lived in this neighbourhood for a long time. For example, an old lady who lived next door told my father that the building we live in used to be a Japanese school. As well as googling on various websites, people can also gather information on government websites. Another possibility is to search the news reports because some information might not be put on the government websites.
In conclusion, people want to know the history of their house because of profits or just curiosity. They can find out the information through asking their neighbours or visiting some websites.
