雅思寫作-最好的生活時機點

今天想要來練習一個很特別的題目，這個題目是從IELTS Simon 的網站上面看到的，他說是最近雅思的考題，我覺得這個議題我也很有興趣，所以就想說來寫一篇文章吧！

題目：

Some people say that now is the best time in history to be alive.

What is your opinion about this? What other time in history would be interesting to live in?

練習：

Many people believe that living in this modern era is the best. While there might be some problems we still need to face, I agree that this time is the best time for humans to be alive.

This time is the best time to live in due to the technology. Firstly, people can use the communication apps to have a chat or contact their family or friends overseas which people could not do so in the past. For example, an ancient person who worked or travelled to another city might not be able to talk to or even meet again in the past. Secondly, people can travel abroad to the places they want more easily now than before. Finally, people can gain the knowledge or what they need to know from more people with different backgrounds now.

People can live in this modern time is better than the time in the past because of the understanding of the diversity. People appreciate the differences, such as sexuality and race more than before. People from the LGBT community can get married now; however, they might have been accused or sentenced about twenty years ago. Furthermore, people can get the job they really want to do. They do not need to worry that they may not get the job because they might be discriminated against due to their race or background, which could really happen a few decades ago.

In conclusion, I agree that being alive in this modern world is the best time in history because of the advanced technology and people’s appreciation of diversity. (263 words, band 6.5)
