228的英文怎麼說？要怎麼跟外國人介紹台灣的節日？

很多台灣人現在都會有出國旅遊或是遇到外國同事和同學的狀況，這時候他們就又可能會問到台灣的節日或是想要了解台灣的歷史，現在也有很多在台灣的外國人，所以他們可能會想要更了解台灣，他們就有可能會問說：「228 事件是一個什麼樣的節日？」

這篇文章會先教大家我是怎麼查出 228 事件，然後我會怎麼組織我的架構，讓外國人可以了解 228 事件。

首先一定要先上網查資料！

首先我一定會先上網查資料，我知道在大學交作業的時候很多大學教授一定會說不可以使用維基百科，可是我們今天要跟外國人解釋 228 事件的時候，維基百科是我們最好的朋友。

如果認真一點的人可以把中文跟英文都看完，但是我們今天如果要跟外國人解釋的話，我覺得英文版的維基百科就很受用了。

開始從裡面偷東西出來用

The February 28 incident, also rendered as the February 28 massacre, the 228 incident, or the 228 massacre , was an anti-government uprising in Taiwan that was violently suppressed by Governor Chen Yi of the Kuomintang-led Republic of China government, which killed thousands of civilians beginning on February 28, 1947. The number of Taiwanese deaths from the incident and massacre was estimated to be between 18,000 and 28,000. The massacre marked the beginning of the White Terror, in which tens of thousands of other Taiwanese went missing, died, or were imprisoned. The incident is one of the most important events in Taiwan’s modern history and was a critical impetus for the Taiwan independence movement.

所以我們看上面的句字，就要開始思考有什麼是我們可以偷來用的！（要我把上面的背起來，我可能也沒辦法，但是我可以就我的理解，把上面我想講的節錄出來。）

所以我會說：
The 228 incident was an anti-government uprising in Taiwan. But, it was suppressed by the government and the government killed thousands of people. This incident is one of the most important events in Taiwan’s history and was an impetus for the Taiwan independence movement.

二二八事件是一個反政府的運動，但是被政府鎮壓而且政府殺了數以千計的人。這個事件是台灣現代史最重要的事件，他也推動了台灣獨立運動。

有注意到嗎？其實我只是把維基百科裡面的東西節錄出來，可是我省去了很多裡面的數字和描述那些細節的事情，我就只是把整個事件的主軸和畫面說出來而已，而且他對於我們原本對 228 事件的理解並沒有差太多，我並不用去背那些中文和英文，他就只是很正常的描述我原本就知道的事件，可是會馬上讓外國人大致理解 228 事件，你的英文聽起來也會超厲害的（因為你都是從文法好的資料偷出來的ＸＤ）。

⭐️ 這裡偷偷教兩個單字：

• suppress /səˈpres/ – to end something by force 鎮壓

• impetus /ˈɪmpɪtəs/ – something that encourages a process or activity to develop more quickly 推動

後續要聊什麼？

這時候外國人可能就會開始對台灣的政治立場和議題感興趣，這部分我覺得就取決於個人了，因為上面已經成功地幫你開啟一個話題，就可以好好地闡述自己的想法，這些想法就不會是從上面查到的單字或是句子了，就會是你內心真實的想法，例如：Taiwan is not part of China. 這種就是滿適合學習起來的句構。

其他的節日該如何介紹？

我覺得像是中秋節、春節和燈籠節（元宵節）都是可以用一樣的步驟去介紹的：

第一步：上網查資料

第二步：把英文資料裡面的東西偷來用（不會的字可以去查字典）

第三步：好好的開始跟外國人聊天吧！
